Raleigh Venturer Swim Assessment

Date: Sat. 10 Mar, 2018 12:45 pm - 2:30 pm

PLEASE NOTE DATE CHANGE DUE TO WEATHER WARNINGS!! This mandatory swim assessment is to ascertain your swimming ability, and to help us assess your suitability for our expedition countries. In some countries Venturers may have to cross waters, which are deep and fast flowing with currents. It is essential that if you find yourself in danger in the water, you have the ability to swim to safety or support yourself until help arrives.

We have a very tight window of time to get this assessment done so please come early and come ready to swim rain or shine!!

“I had given all I could. I taught children. I built toilets and stoves. I made lifelong friendships. I felt the pain of those less fortunate, but their gratitude, I will never forget. I pushed harder than I ever have before. When I was down, I picked myself up. I overcame sickness, learned valuable life skills and overcame my fears. I never gave up on myself. Lesson learned - I possess all the strength and determination it takes to overcome any obstacle and to be my own hero.” Keri
